Explorations of life's dichotomies
LIVING IN TWO
PAINTING SERIES BY LAURA TIETZ
I paint because in those moments I am not a mother, a wife; I am not a woman, a designer nor an artist; in those moments I am the moment. From this place of openness, lessons, struggles, desires, etc. are revealed to me. From this place of surrender, I proceed without expectation or intention and let the moment speak.
In this series: Living in Two, I explore the conflicting dichotomies that exist within me: Mother versus free woman, urban versus rural, structure versus flow. I invite the viewer to see what they will and I welcome your personal interpretations of my work.
