objective

Schematic design for a Caribou Breeding Facility in British Columbia, Canada. Caribou numbers are declining and this facility would provide a safe and natural setting for caribou calves to fully develop before their release. The project required a beautiful rendering to display the caribou facility's potential to drum up funding. Info graphics were necessary to easily display the animal movement through the facility over time.

solution.

Zoo Design Inc provided the line drawing and I used Adobe Photoshop to add color. The goal was a painted, artistic effect. This was achieved by dropping in and blending colors from inspiration images. Brush strokes were left visible to maintain a painted feel. Lighting was key to emphasize the depth of the natural forested habitat in contrast to the cleared areas, necessary for the longevity of the perimeter fences.

services.

Colored exhibit rendering. Temporal info graphic.
