The client had the same logo for 20 years and was ready for an update, however, a strong customer base had been established in connection to the old logo; additionally, the client felt a sentimental connection to the old logo and thus, required original aspects to persist in the new logo. The new logo also needed to better emphasize CTI's main service of irrigation while modernizing the overall feel.
To retain the core feeling of the original logo, the font and general curvature of the red flag remain in the redesign. Dimension was added to the flag through shading and a subtle curved edge indicating the embrace of an unseen globe. The original font was enhanced with a soft shine and a sprinkler head in place of the 'I'. An enveloping blue circle was added to create a global, more modern feel while simultaneously enhancing the versatility of the logo; when paired with a white circle background, the logo is seamlessly placed on dark surfaces.
