ZOO DESIGN INC
Animal-centric, conservation-minded zoo design company
Seattle, WA
objective.
Zoo Design Inc was asked by the World Associated on Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) to design 1.) An info graphic linking visitor experience with elephant care, welfare, and wellness. 2.) The cover of their conservation magazine, volume 17.
solution.
The provided text was presented as two cards with corresponding rows distinguished with alternating transparent strips for easy reading. The customized background image of a boy pointing to an elephant emphasizes the interaction between visitors and animals while keeping the columns separate. For magazine cover, a real image was altered to simplify the details and draw attention to the interaction between zoo visitors and the animals.

LOGO DESIGN FOR THEATRE
RED HILL THEATRE GROUP
An ensemble theatre group formed out of the simple desire to make more theatre.
Boonsboro, MD
objective.
The group needed a logo and they needed it fast. Without knowing what they wanted their logo to be, they knew a red hill would make sense. The rest was up for grabs.
solution.
I got to take the reins on this one which made it very fun for me. The red hill was an obvious go-to, but it needed something more. I created a large "R" within the hill that also represents curtains on a stage. The yellow curtain tie helps to accentuate this subtle connection. The elegant "R" gives way to the sloping red hill in back, much like the curtain draw reveals the stage.
